The CrossFit Open is only a week away and Sleven is going big this year with our very own Sleven Open, where anyone — regardless of fitness level, ability or interest in competing — can join in on the fun! We will be running the Open on Saturday mornings for three weeks starting 26 February. Each SATURDAY SURGE will be chock full of fun including DJs, vendors and we’ll cap the final week off with a day party!

A workout is released each Thursday, and various workout types will be offered so there’s something for everyone, from experienced athlete to complete beginners, all in the same global event.⁠ We will be offering a new Lifestyle category for those who don’t want to compete or submit a score but simply want to come down, get a sweat on and be a part of everything going on.

Last but not least, as a special extra for members on 24Sleven memberships, we’re giving full access to all Sleven X classes from 1-24 of February. If you’ve been considering checking out our Sleven X classes, now you can go crazy! This will give you a chance to learn some of the skills you may need for the Open and also experience what a full CrossFit workout feels like. We will be switching your programme access on the evening of 31 January.

We will be running classes from 09:00-12:00 each Saturday morning and these will be available on all memberships. Whether you want to come down to compete, workout, judge or even just hang out, we’re going to be running packed SATURDAY SURGES.

The last heat of each Saturday will be reserved for your coaches, all going head to head, for what will be an ELECTRIC end to each week!

There are several options for each workout:
  • RX – Do the workouts as written. This is the most challenging option and is a great way to test your skills and see whether you improve your performance year on year. The top 10% of athletes at the end of the 3 weeks from each continental region will advance to the Online Quarter Finals.
  • SCALED – Not quite ready to tackle the workouts as written? No problem. The scaled division offers classic scaling options for many of CrossFit’s common gymnastics movements and includes lighter loading.
  • LIFESTYLE – Don’t fancy getting swept up in a competition? Maybe you’re coming back from an injury or you come to Sleven just to have a bit of fun and get a sweat on! Our new Lifestyle category will allow you to do a workout written by the Sleven coaching team just for you and will run in the same time domain so you can have all the fun with the competitive aspect taken out of your Saturday mornings.

Each week we’ll be hosting different events. We’ve invited a very special DJ for week 1, renowned among many Sleven members, DJ CZ. Pronounced SEAZY, he is also known to many as Claudio! His bangin’ tracks will push you to new limits.

We’ve arranged a host of vendors to come down for week 2 to pamper, fuel and help you recover. We’re excited to announce who we’ll have coming down but you’ll just have to wait until closer to the time.

Week 3 will cap things off with a day party, which we will release details of in due course. Make sure you save the date as we’ll no doubt be running over into the night, Sleven Style!
